How We Tested

We didn’t just toss bread into the oven and hope for the best — we ran controlled tests to make sure our results reflect real use. Each slice of plain white bread was placed directly on the wire rack, centered on the middle shelf. After every run, we let the oven cool completely before starting again so there was no leftover heat to skew the results.

We first tested the toast function in ovens without a convection fan, running slices at 350°F and 375°F. What we saw: slow heat-up times (6–8 minutes to reach set temperature) and only subtle color changes, even after long cycles. Toast turned dry and hard before it could reach a satisfying golden finish.

Then we moved to the Wonder Oven Pro with its convection fan–assisted toast mode. Here’s where things clicked. At 400°F, the fan circulated hot air evenly, helping the oven heat up quickly and toast slices with visible, reliable changes in color minute by minute. It was consistent, fast, and — most importantly — delicious.
